By the time we arrived, the moon was going down, leaving a trace of color, and there were several cars parked along the road. We walked the short trail past an ancient cairn and scrambled down rocks to the cave entrance.
Noted historian and author Jan Wright has spent over two decades researching John Beeson, Oregon's first civil rights activist in the 1800s.
