Dying
when it's my turn
I'll walk into the hills
past skeletons, bones
licked clean by Coyote
warmed white by the sun
I'll walk far as I can
Coyote will blaze
in my eyes --
the sun on his back,
howling the wind
says Coyote --
Want me to lick you?
I'll say yes
he'll start in a flash
licking the world's dirt
out of my pores
like I was his pup
his tongue is a feeling
I'll know only once
working me down
to a litter of bones
licked clean by Coyote
warmed white by the sun
